Bacon Butter

Bacon butter is the scrumptious low carb and keto compound butter you didn't know you needed, but will never be able to live without!

  • 8-10 Slices Bacon I use 9 — depends on how much bacon flavor you'd like
  • 1/2 Cup Butter softened
  • 12 Chive "sprigs"


  • In a large skillet, cook bacon over medium heat.
  • Once cooked, place bacon on a paper towel lined plate to absorb excess grease.
  • Add bacon, butter and chives to a food processor.
  • Using 1 second intervals, "pulse" the butter ingredients together until the chives and bacon have reached your desired size — make sure to clean the sides of the food processor with a rubber spatula every few pulses.
  • Store butter in the fridge, and enjoy!


  • I like to use this butter within 3 days due to the fresh chives.
    I freeze excess butter in an ice cube tray, then pop the ice cubes into small baggies for future use.
  • Nutritional information is based on 1/16 of this recipe — which will vary depending on how much bacon you use. For me, it came out to about 1 tablespoon of butter. For most accurate nutrition, divide the butter into servings before eating it :)
