How To Blanch Almonds

Ingredients

  • Almonds with skin, raw and unsalted
  • Boiling Water

Instructions

  • In a small saucepan, boil water.
  • Add almonds to boiling water and allow them to soak for 1 minute (any longer and the almonds will become too soft to peel).
  • Drain the almonds in a strainer and run cold water over them.
  • The skin should now be soft and easy to remove by simply pinching the almonds!
