Noodle Substitutes – My favorite noodle substitutes for soups vary based on each recipe. To name a few options:
- Shredded cabbage
- Zucchini noodles
- Shirataki noodles
Rice Substitutes – Again, this will vary based on each recipe. I most frequently use:
- Cauliflower rice
- Broccoli rice
- Miracle rice
Vegetarian – Many of these recipes can be made vegetarian by removing the protein and/or swapping out the broths for vegetable broth.
Paleo / Dairy-free – Full fat coconut milk is an awesome substitute for heavy cream in most low carb soups. Keep in mind, it’ll add a hint of coconut flavor.
