A surprisingly easy way to cut down on cost is to buy low carb meals and ingredients in bulk. Get organized with your low carb food list printable, make room in your freezer and pantry, and load up. Low carb shopping list Costco and low carb shopping list Aldi are awesome places to save!
Here are a few low carb shopping list foods I buy in bulk:
- Proteins. Steak, lamb, pork, chicken (usually come in individual bags so you can freeze some), eggs, sliced deli meats.
- Keto nuts.
- Low carb peanut butter or almond butter.
- Protein powder (check out my guide to the best tasting protein powders before splurging)
- Low carb milks.
- Keto vegetables. Especially during low carb salads or low carb smoothies season.
- Low carb yogurt.
Low Carb Grocery List Items To Buy Online
Then there’s the low carb grocery list items that’re SO MUCH EASIER to buy online, as they’re super expensive, not available at wholesale stores (like Costco), and are often only sold in specialty health food stores (Whole Foods, Sprouts, etc).
So, I buy online (in PJs and on the couch), and save. Big time. Here are some of those low carb shopping list items:
- Low carb flour.
Almond flour, peanut flour (I’ve only found this online!) and coconut flour
- Low carb protein powder.
You can sometimes buy samples before purchasing a big container.
Many of my favorite low carb desserts call for powdered erythritol, which I haven’t been able to find in stores. Granular erythritol is typically much cheaper on Amazon.
- Psyllium Husk.
I use this ingredient in all my low carb bread recipes, and haven’t been able to find it in stores.
