Vanilla Vodka – You don’t need much vodka for this recipe, so you’ll have a lot left over. Store your bottle upright, and somewhere with a consistent temperature so that the quality will last until the next time you’re making cocktails!
Cocoa Powder – The cocoa powder you choose can make or break this chocolatey drink. Get a good dutch-processed one for the best fudgy flavor.
Chocolate Shavings – Use a vegetable peeler along the edge of a slightly warm baking chocolate bar for perfect chocolate curls!

For this low carb Martini, you’ll need a cocktail shaker and strainer if you want it taste the James Bond way. Don’t have one? Use my cheat – try a mason jar! Cut some holes in an extra lid to strain. Aren’t they great for just everything?!
Storing Tips
This low carb martini is best enjoyed right away. Wait too long, and the ingredients will separate and you’ll have to pour it out, which makes me cry just thinking about! The ingredients are super great for keeping on hand and making them on demand.

- 1 1/2 Ounces Vanilla Vodka
- 3 Ounces Almond Milk
- 1 Ounce Heavy Cream
- 2 Teaspoons Swerve or Lakanto (see sweetener notes below) granular
- 1 Teaspoon Cocoa Powder*

- Ice
Instructions
- Add contents to a cocktail shaker, cover and shake!
- Strain into a martini glass.
- Top with low carb chocolate shavings, and enjoy!

Lindsey's Tips
- Chocolate. I love Lily's chocolate chips for this (they make dark, semi-sweet, and milk) but you can always make your own low carb chocolate by following my recipe!
- Cocoa Powder. I much prefer dutch process cocoa powder in sweets, as it’s significantly less bitter than regular!
- Lakanto, Swerve, or Erythritol. I stick to Lakanto and Swerve which are a 1:1 swap with traditional sugar. If using a different brand of Erythritol, keep in mind it's 70% as sweet as sugar, so you may need to add more to taste.
- Milk. I swap between unsweetened light almond or coconut milk.
- I use 1 teaspoon of cocoa powder to cut down on carbs, feel free to add more if you’d like to bump up the chocolatiness of your cocktail!
Hello Lindsay how are you getting 194 carbs but saying that it’s two net carbs when there is no fiber?
Hi Christine! Thanks for catching that, there must have been a calculation error. That said, the carbs are sugar alcohol (erythritol) carbs, which most people don’t count toward their net carbs. Hope you enjoy!
