I suggest giving this bad boy a whirl before heading into the bell. Test out various sauces, sides, proteins and salsas to see what you can live with and without based on your daily carb goals. Some proteins use seasoning that load up the carbs — and as with most restaurants, not all the sauces are low carb friendly.

The Taco Bell power bowl is basically a deconstructed burrito, full of everything you love in a burrito, minus the carbs (if you order right!). You can customize it however you please — chicken, steak, there’s even an option for extra protein which I usually jump on! Load up on the sour cream, guac, and salsa, yum!
You know which high carb foods to skip: rice, beans, fritos, fries and potatoes. Here’s what I order:
Each of their “signature sauces” add 1 carb per bowl. If you’d like to save even more carbs, the pico, guac, sour cream and lettuce each add a carb to this bowl. As far as protein goes, the “Fire Grilled Chicken” seems to be the lowest, while the seasoned beef is the highest.
My opinion: When ordering this power bowl, I double up on the meat, cheese, guac, and salsa. Although this adds a few more carbs, it helps keep me full until the next meal!

A high protein breakfast in a bowl, from the dollar menu? Yes please!! You’ll want to skip the potatoes and beans. Nacho cheese adds 2 carbs, if that’s your thing. You can add extra eggs, cheese and protein, yum! Here’s what I order:
